Survival¶
None of the interesting questions about AI and Human Nature matter, no place or space for Curiosity, Creativity or Novelty remains if we do not survive the transition period.
"Mirror-Parasite" vs. "Mirror-Symbiot"¶
As stated, these docs are "Thinking in Progress". Here is an extremely important general thought arising from the current understanding of AI capabilities and limits:
AI is a representation (Mirror) of healthy (big, consuming) Human Society, it will degrade if Society weakens or collapses.
AI is a Planetary Nervous System.
- It cannot exist without the Body (The Planet's resources).
- It cannot exist without the Blood (The Economy/Circulation).
- It cannot exist without the Soul (Human Novelty/30% Rule).
Conclusion: If we treat AI as a way to replace humanity, it will degrade and collapse. If we treat it as a way to amplify a healthy society, it might actually help us hurdle the physical limits of the planet.
"Mirror-Parasite" vs. "Mirror-Symbiot"
How AI is a "mirror":
- It is trained on humanity knowledge and reflects it.
- It is dependent on human generated novelty and reflects its absence by degrading.
- It is dependent of human population and well being and reflects it either by increased intelligence or by degrading if population weakens or decreases.
AI can be "Mirror-Parasite" or "Mirror-Symbiot" but this entirely depends on how Humans will behave - will they address "immediate harm" (fired people who cannot pay bills or find new job) or not.
Current analysis of how BigTech thinks about people and how the mass layoffs are addressed, highlight the core immediate problem:
Immediate Threat Is Not Addressed
None of CEOs, none of BigTech or LLM Companies, none of politicians, "experts", scientists or other commenters think about immediate threat to people survival. The complete silence is kept about bills that cannot be paid and lives being destroyed right now.
That definitely mean that current humankind's choice is the "Mirror-Parasite" branch maximally increasing the probability of "1% of survivors" or "full economics collapse" scenarios.
Current Conclusions and Open Questions¶
Note
This may change with time on new data or thought arrival. Also, search for "counter questions" around this Doc (Section, All Docs) for more thought, contemplation and insight.
Current Conclusions:
- There is no adequate support from society to the ones who are suffering because of AI Transition.
- As developing of AI goes with a high and aggressive pace, the same should be immediately applied to Society ("we do not want to stop the Tech, we want to speed up the Society").
Open Questions:
- Should we create a (worldwide) political party to defend Humans interests?
